UNAPD is proud to be associated with the following partners who support the organisation's activities ((2009):


Dansk Handicap Forbund (DHF) - is a national organisation of People with Physical Disabilities in Denmark. UNAPD's first collaboration with DHF started in 2004 when they supported the organisation's first General Assembly. They supported a two-year Empowerment Project that culminated into the Capacity Building and Accessibility Project that is running up to 2010. DHF, the main partners of UNAPD, also support the Wing's Project that runs up to 2010.


The Danish Brain Injury Association (DBIA) - is a private, independent organisation working for people with brain injuries and their families in Denmark. They supported the Uganda Brain Injury Project (2006-2007), a pilot project, which led to another two-year project, Uganda Brain Injury Support Project. It runs up to 2009. DBIA also supports the Labour Market Project.


Action on Disability and Development (ADD) - has graciously worked with UNAPD since inception in 1998, supporting mainly some administrative costs of the organisation. ADD supports organisations of disabled people in Africa and Asia to influence policy and practice to end social exclusion and poverty.


Ministry of Health - Disability Section provided support towards the National Conference on Physical Disabilities in 2003.


World Health Organisation (WHO) - collaborated with UNAPD in the second phase of the Polio Surveillance Project in 2002, which was carried out in five districts from the four regions of Uganda. The role UNAPD played in this project was to train and sensitize People with Physical Disabilities about polio.


The National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) - is an indigenous umbrella NGO of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs). It brings together all categories of disabilities including the Physically Disabled, sensory and mentally impaired people. Being an umbrella organization, UNAPD works closely with NUDIPU which supports some of UNAPD's projects and activities.


The Disability Rights Fund (DRF) - is a collaboration between donors and the disability community to advance the new UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). DRF is also a grant-making fund of the Tides Foundation, which partners with donors to increase and organize resources for positive social change.
